Turncoat
At the moment Zambezi's coat develops the so called Turncoat.
(At least in Germany and the neighbouring countries it is called
Turncoat- if someone knows a different/better term, please let us know)
That is a unusual development of the coat colour of Somali cats, when the bright shining colour temporarily reverses into a dull, dusty-seeming colour. The undercoat grows from below at first nearly white and then bit by bit coloured again.
In the adjacent magnification is good visible that the hair is coloured dark at the tip, followed by a silvery band and then by the final colour.

Turncoatand has today a wonderful coat colour with a rich-in-contrast ticking.
